We are based in a modern premises in St. Julians, Malta where the candidate will be part of the accounting department to support the group operations to deliver targets in line with our mission and vision. 

The person is required to develop and maintain adequate internal controls to safeguard the Group’s assets and to ensure that the internal and external financial reporting is prepared on a timely manner and is true and fair to support our business. 

Key responsibilities include: 

Accounting team: Part of the Accounting team within the Finance Department participating in the monthly and yearly closing processes including keeping deadlines in accordance with the group financial plan. 

Revenue Reporting: Be responsible for the extraction and analysis of revenue & KPI figures supporting the operations by maintaining complete and accurate revenue & KPI data through reconciliations. Also, execute analysis and controls needed to ensure there is no revenue leakage. 

Book-keeping: Responsible for the day-to-day book-keeping in Xero for the assigned tasks (mentioned below). Ensure bookkeeping is in accordance with the applicable accounting standard. 

Invoicing: Responsible for preparing and issuing invoices for the assigned partners on a monthly basis. 

Reconciliation of accounts: Ensuring all accounts within the responsibility area are fully reconciled, have supporting documentation and are signed off timely in accordance with a monthly financial plan. 

Debtors: Responsible for following up debtors for the partners assigned to ensure efficient debt collection. 

Development Projects: Participating and coordinating projects related to the finance department such as upgrading the finance system, mapping company processes and establishing a financial guide. 

The successful candidate must be: 

• Self–motivated, meticulous and organized; 
• Positive energy and motivation to learn and deliver; 
• Ability to work within a team and with tight deadlines; 
• Have excellent communication skills; 

Previous experience in a similar position, in possession of a Finance/Accounting Diploma and/or being in the initial process of obtaining ACCA/similar professional qualifications will be considered an asset.
